Good morning peeps or shud i say afternoon now?  it wud of been morning if i had written this when i got on the computer over 3 hours ago! Haha im so easily distracted so it seems...(blame it on fb gah un the world that is the internet oh un the totally addictive jigsaw puzzle ive started un the chucks, my moby going off un countless other things calling me.)

Its a beautiful day the sun is out un the wind is blowing un for the first time this year i have hung my washing out on the line! *faint* i hope those clouds blow on by! I think i can feel spring coming!

Times of change this week.  I finally got an allotment Its taken nearly 2 years of being on the list and a friend putting in a good word in for me to get there but finally i have a plot that i could grow enough veg on for half the street haha.  Its 20ft wide un looks 3 times as long, un at the moment its full of brambles glass un other peoples old tat but im gonna make it nice un give this growing lark a bloody good go! (wonders where or if she has a cable to link my mobile to my computer to make uploading my pics easier...hmmm)

So i went up there yesterday and Rotavated a bit of the plot.  Cor did i feel like i had been in a fight haha, shakes ya bones to bits! Took me over an hour but i did it... not bad for a first try.  Deffinatly need someone with a brush cutter? to sort my brambles out but it will get done un i can borrow rotavator again.

In all the excitement i even planted some seeds in mini green houses on my windowsill.  Think it was tuesday... i did lettuce (which had sprouted by fri!!) toms, cherry pips un sunflowers, chillis un peppers... 2 sunflowers are showing their heads today.  Just like when i find a lovely freshly laid egg i get excited about seeds germinating, just wish they wud grow faster The raspberry doesnt seem to be doing anything in the garden yet, un im soaking a grape cutting my sis found, but i dont expect that to grow as its been without water for 4 months but we shall see.  Cant wait for the grass to start growing so i can replant my lawn!! Un am looking forward to putting stuff out in the green house me un pud built.

The chucks have settled down a bit after the fun and games they put me thru the other week.  We had one of the bantums go broody, we dont think she was an egg layer... just an egg theif!  She would wait for bunny to lay then go sit on her egg.  They look funny when they r broody, kinda like a tea cosy, all squished down and puffy, very cute but tend to get very pecky! Ouch.  So we brought Peach into the house and kept her in a box for nearly a week.  She got wormed, un had her feet feathers washed un trimmed... more like a dunking in a bucket hehe.  It lowers the temperature of their bum to try and snap them out of it. Then i had to go thru re-introducing her to the others... i let her in the garden while the others were out but she got chased, so i put her in the run whilst the others were still out and by the time it was bed they had got over wanting to 'get her' and all just settled down in the chuck house.  But she was still looking broody cos she was trying to go sleep in the nest box...so we hoiked her out and put a nice cold metal roasting tray in there! No one wants to sleep in that so done she is cured.  Yay me un Pud.  

The next thing we have to sort is Little Roo going off too early in the morning!  I thort i had sorted it by putting a black cover along half the run so the sun doesnt set him off... un its been working, he normally only shouts at about 8.15am when i let him out.  But i fell asleep on the sofa last night un left the lights on... expensive! Un at 5.20am i woke with a start as he was going off in the pitch black!  So not good.  So i turned the lights off un shut the curtain a bit un went to bed...un he shut up, but yeah i wasnt happy about that.  So im gonna make a better cover for their house to block out the light un stop him waking the whole world up   For someone so little in the middle of the night he sure sounds BIG!!

Right thats enough typing for now...i gonna go make an allotment un seed gallery. Go me
